Drive.ai is passionate about leveraging deep learning technology to unlock the potential of the Drive.ai autonomous mobility service, which makes roads safer, gives free time back to commuters, and provides transportation to everyone.
Drive.ai endeavors to expand internationally starting with the Dubai World Challenge. By deploying on-demand transportation services in geofenced locations of differing size, scope, and complexity, we can operate a service that is safe for an increasing number of passengers, drivers, and pedestrians. Our service will also improve vehicle utilization, reducing congestion on the road by minimizing individual car usage. This mission also serves to facilitate smart city planning and cost-effective land use decisions for the communities of Dubai.
Our founders began working on autonomous technology in 2012 at Stanford University’s Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, under Professor Andrew Ng. From the beginning, our team has comprised of industry experts, specializing in machine learning and automated systems. Five of our founders, including Chief Executive Officer, Sameep Tandon, came from Stanford’s AI Deep Learning Laboratory. Before joining Drive.ai, many of our Vice Presidents and executive staff have worked for the likes of Google, Microsoft, and Linkedin.
Today, we have over 140 employees with combined expertise in high technology companies, like Facebook and Apple; and also with automotive manufacturers and suppliers, like General Motors, Nissan, and Bosch.
