AV Exit is a patented autonomous vehicle safety system which monitors for unavoidable impact and, if needed, uses the motors and wheels to discharge the separated passenger pod away from the powertrain along a safer path.
AV Exit is designed to fully develop the revolutionary potential of self-driving vehicles to reduce traffic deaths and injuries. Sending the passenger pod away from the powertrain creates additional safety benefits by reducing speed and weight (i.e., inertia) while increasing drag for stoppage. This system will assure autonomous vehicles are the safest transportation choice.
