Tim Dawkins is the Head of Safety & Security at Einride Autonomous Technologies and member of the autonomous technology group’s executive leadership team. As top safety executive, Tim is responsible for safety across the business, ensuring strong safety practices and culture at Einride, and overseeing the company’s Safety Management System, including the safety case for Einride’s Autonomous Electric Trucks (AETs), leveraging his deep expertise in automotive cybersecurity, safety-critical systems and robotics.
Within Einride, Tim has previously held positions as Senior Director of Safety and Director of Public Policy, enabling the safe deployment of AETs in the United States. Prior to joining Einride, Tim led autonomous vehicle policy research at the World Economic Forum’s Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and spent his early engineering career working in ADAS & AV product development with SBD Automotive. Tim holds an MBA from Surrey Business School and a BEng in Motorsport Engineering from Brunel University London. Tim also holds a UL4600 Certified Autonomy Safety Professional (CASP) accreditation from UL Solutions, along with further certifications in Cybersecurity, Military Ethics and Robotics.
