Dr. Xuchen Zhang is the cofounder and head of hardware of Zelos. He is primarily responsible for overseeing the hardware R&D, manufacturing and supply chain. He led the development of world’s first mass-production L4 autonomous vehicle—Z5, which has made a sale of 5000+ units by far.
Dr. Zhang obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degree in electronic engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China, in July 2008 and March 2011, respectively. He further received his doctor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in the United States in August 2017.
