With a Ph.D. and a Master in Civil Engineering both majoring Transport Modelling, a PMP Certification, and nearly 15 years of global experience, Dr Dario Menichetti works at PTV based in the Group’s regional Hub of Dubai since April 2016.
From Australia to Singapore, via Taiwan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom, the 38 years-old Italian Chartered Engineer has proven himself as a global specialist in smart mobility and technology for transportation planning & optimization, working for some of the leading Companies in the industry.
Prior to joining PTV Group, he was the Transport Studies Manager at Etihad Rail, the Government‐owned developer and operator of the UAE national railway. He has also worked with Mott MacDonald as a Senior Transport Modeller, handling major projects such as Masdar City. He was also Transport Consultant at Scott Wilson (now part of AECOM) in the UK, before relocating to the UAE in 2008.
As Regional Director of PTV Group for the Middle East, Africa and India, he is responsible for project management & delivery of PTV solutions. His field of action additionally includes business relations and customer care on-site with Authorities, Consultancies, Operators, OEMs, System Integrators and PTV Partners, as well as fostering business development of PTV New Mobility solutions in an exciting era of transportation revolutions, digitalization and steep international industry growth.
Reporting directly to the Regional Managing Director, Dario directs the Project Management and Services (PM&S) department with a team based in the local regional offices in close vicinity to PTV Customers while having full access to the global PTV team and to the 40-years-old Company’s expertise. The PM&S team offer a range of customer-centric services focused on PTV software with solution setup, training and customer support as well as they guide and assist our clients at all stages of deployment of PTV
