Ann Shi is currently Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, responsible for aligning strategic partners such as automakers, Tier-1 suppliers, and transportation network groups to jointly build a safer and more reliable mobility for societies with autonomous driving technology. She is also responsible for global markets expansion.
Before joining Pony.ai, she worked for UK’s largest trade media company Haymarket Media Group, covering for its two financial media brands FinanceAsia and The Corporate Treasurer from the Hong Kong bureau, with expertise on Asia-Pacific economics, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, financial regulations, currency hedging, business innovation and entrepreneurship. In 2017, she won the highest award for financial media in Asia: State Street Asia Pacific Journalist of the Year Award.
She joined Pony.ai in early 2018 and is a founding team member of its China headquarters in Guangzhou and the earliest non-tech full-time employee in China. Since then, she was responsible for several roles including building the company’s public relations network, corresponding government relations and investor relations. She represented Pony.ai in winning the Pitch@Palace China Championship in 2018. Since April 2019, she became responsible for running business development activities.
She holds a dual degree in economics and finance from University of Hong Kong.
